I requested an appointment to give me an estimate on replacing a 1" crack in 1 of my panels. I get 2 quotes to replace the entire door which is not what I requested, Shocking. The excuse for not giving a price on the panel is that they could not identify the maker of the existing door. Its pretty standard so they are in the wrong business if you cannot identify a standard panel.

Lynda, We would love to replace your panel, but without a label to identity the manufacturer and date of the door, we cannot make an exact match. With many manufacturers and designs of garage doors we may pick something that doesn't match the other panels at all if we don't know the manufacturer. Also, depending on age certain designs may not be available anymore. We have even seen certain door designs have changed over time, and a panel for a particular manufacturer and design purchased today may not match that same manufacturer and design from even just a few years ago. So when matching panels it's important to know the manufacturer, year, and design if we are going to provide you with a panel that will match your door and make sure you are satisfied.

I called this morning to schedule a tune up and was given a 4 hour window for today. I was impressed that someone was going to come out today. Armando called in less than an hour and let me know when he would be arriving. He arrived within the time frame he gave me and was very courteous and professional. Armando let me know that my garage door was in good working order.

Pricing is way to high even though I have taken into account the high inflation costs of everything in our current time. I got same exact quote for doors and new opening system with someone else and saved $3900.

Please make sure they have a California State Business license and that they will be there should anything go wrong. Some companies will sell you a garage door, get a deposit, and then disappear. They may add charges such as sales tax, in some cases they add delivery charges for the new door, and disposal charges for the old one. after the work is done. Please make sure that they are providing you with high quality product, and their price includes installation, and that they will warranty their product, should anything go wrong. I was surprised at the quick response time of this company. They sent someone out the very next morning. Technician was on time and called before hand as promised. He was knowledgeable and clearly explained what the problem with my garage door was and made repairs in a timely manner, (motor & opener replaced, rollers replaced, springs replaced.) Was not pushy. Very professional. Appreciated doing business with this company. Would recommend. I selected this company based on ratings and comments I read.

Our Lift master garage door, which we got back in 2009, was malfunctioning. The main power button wouldn't turn on, and also sometimes the garage was opening on its own. Family friends recommend this company to us as they had a great experience hiring them to fix their garage. The technician came out early. His name is Garrett. He was very helpful, kind and informative. He answered all my questions. Garrett got to work immediately. Replaced the stuff, installing them and cleaning up after. He showed me how the system works, and I was very impressed. I recommend Precision Door Service.

Our garage door is one of the most important pieces of our home that helps us feel safe and protected. When it started acting up, we called a couple of different companies. One tried to pull a fast one, the other "fixed" it for a couple of months. I told my husband - just call these guys - "a name you can trust". And we did. To be clear, we are very pleased with the service and work done by Armando B, Senior Service Technician and Precision Door Service. Armando call twice before he arrived, keeping on his schedule. Once arrived, he was very polite and professional. He explained in great detail the work that was going to be done. Once we agreed on the project, he went straight to work and completed his task within 90 minutes. Cleaned his work area, completely lubed and service my door, beyond what needed repairing. Everything was up front, open and honest. I previously dealt with a fly-by-night company and it was a pleasure and refreshing to deal with a professional. I would recommend this company highly and especially recommend Armando B to be your service technician. Great Job, we are thankful and pleased.

I called Precision hoping for an immediate service call and i got my wish. Miguel came to service our garage door. Turns out the motor bombed and it needed to be replaced. I didn't have to wait for a new part, he was able to provide it that same day; he handled and resolved the problem right then and there so we weren't impacted with having to wait days before a new motor came in. That was great. Miguel was professional, courteous and explained the repair. He checked and re-checked the installation to ensure it worked. Great service for sure.

Technician showed up on time, quoted a total cost (without trying to add in any unnecessary work), had the needed torsion spring on-hand, finished installation and checked everything out in under 30 minutes. This type of work could be done by a mechanically inclined homeowner, but Precision Door did the work much faster at a reasonable price. I would certainly recommend them to others.

The technician, Armando was late even after a four hour window and gave me a 600+ quote for a spring when they had originally stated estimate of $100. I know you have to pay for the expertise but $600 for a spring seems outrageous. It’s like they know you have an emergency and take advantage. I rather look for an honest, fair priced company.

But depending on various factors, such as the height and weight of the door, or the types of springs you may need, the price may vary. Typically, if springs need to be replaced, other items such as bearings, torsion tubes, drums, and cables may need to be replaced as well, and that will affect the overall price. Lastly, we at Precision Door Service believe in being honest, and would never take advantage of a customer in an emergency. I have been using Precision since 2012 when we had garage springs changed. We had a tune-up in 2017 and just had them replace the old springs. Every one of the technicians were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They have excellent customer service and are on time. Highly recommended.

Evan was professional, knowledgable and a good communicator. Evan patiently explained in detail what he needed to do. I understood clearly what the job would entail, and the cost, depending on the extent of the repair job. He worked hard and the job was made especially difficult due to the fact that our garage was full. We are undergoing a kitchen remodel and a lot of our kitchen materials were placed in the garage, including a second refrigerator. Evan was undeterred, worked around the mess and did a great job. Also, Evan was careful to remove unneeded screws (no flat tires!) and materials from the floor before leaving. I don't always receive that level of attention to detail from other workers with other companies. When the time comes for us to replace our garage door, your company will at the top of the list thanks to Evan.
