Due to power outage in my neighborhood, my car was badically trapped ib the garage. I was able to release the lock and open the door manually. When power was restored, I had difficulty in getting the lock to re-engage. I chose Precision Door because I thought I had been served by them in the past. However, I later learned that was not the case. Regardless, the technician came and showed me how to operate the manual release. Because no other work was required, Precision waived their service fee. I call that good customer service.

Initially I thought I needed a new garage door due to my visual inspection of the damage. Called Precision and when the technician Armando came, did the inspection, he informed me I did not; the damage was repairable. What I liked most and am complementing the expert customer service, the technician informed me the door was not up to code, so required sensors were installed; being an older door, they installed a "quiet motor." For the efficient customer service that I received, am highly recommending Precision for any garage door service that is needed.

Technician was on time . Repair work looks to be good quality. 4.3 rating is for customer service. After two new torsion springs were installed. The travel limits need to be reprogramed. Technician told me that he needed the remote to program limits. I advised him that I have four of them but did not use them and did not know were they are. He was willing to sell one to me. I told him I did not need a fifth one. Technician insisted that without remote he could not program travel limits. Repair was completed without me being able to use the garage door motor. Two hours after technician was gone I decided to read garage door manual. Page 17 says, limits can be set using remote or wall door control. I programed limits myself, go figure. Email from Chuck White , owner of Precision Door Services of Southern California ask to call him at 866 -292-4103 with any issues before posting a review. On Friday ,September 27 ,2024 , 1:54 PM called Chuck White's number and got ring no answer. At this time I do not plan on calling back this company for any other repair problems that come up with the garage door.

Armando has been to my home to service my garage a few times. Each time he has been professionally, courtesy, patient, and knowledgeable. What I appreciate about Armando is once he identifies the issue he will suggest additional maintenance options but not in a “pushy car salesman way.” My neighbor originally recommended Precison Garage as a satisfied customer. Very dissatisfied with the repair. The repair has created a worse, new problem. 4 days and 4 use later, my garage door has pulled away from the track on the opposite side and has stopped mid-way. It won’t go up nor down. I’m not even able to use the emergency release. Part of why I selected Precision is because they advertise that they offer 24hr emergency service. Not true. They have a live answering service that just takes messages. I was told no one would respond to my emergency until the next business day. My property is no longer secure due to this problem nor will we have access to our vehicle to go to work in the morning.

After calling your company for a simple garage door adjustment a tech arrived at our house the same day. Once the tech was here and gave my wife an estimate of what he felt was needed. My wife instantly could tell that the tech was attempting to up sell her on services that where not needed. My wife put the tech on the phone with me and I explained that all that was needed was a simple adjustment. He tried to up sell me as well, but I told him to just adjust the door so it will open and that's it. Well, $270 later with no parts involved and 5 minutes of work the door was able to open manually. Once I arrived home it took me approx, 5 minutes to adjust the tension on the garage belt drive and the door worked perfectly. So much for your experienced tech!! The entire job would have taken probably 10 minutes if this guy knew what he was doing. I will highly NOT recommend your company to anyone.
